Looks tasty, Chris. My wife loves cooking on the zone and posts here recipes every once in a while. Check it out here: http://silverspatula.blogspot.com/
I love the spaghetti squash and zone bell peppers. Give ‘em a shot!
A few weeks ago, you were looking for suggestions about what to blog. I’ve run into a big obstacle in the zone. I’m on 20 blocks w/ 5x fat and the wife on a straight 11. Buying food for the two of us has risen to around 800 a month here in Kentucky. Any thoughts on how to cut down these costs? We’ve begun to eat a slice a bread a meal instead of veggies/fruits, but any other suggestions are welcome.
I have a few suggestions for cutting costs. I’ve been meaning to write a post about this so perhaps this will push me to do so.
1.) If you have a Costco or Sams club, uses it. Buy in bulk.
2.) I took Robs nutrition cert this weekend and he starts all of his clients on 1/2 carbs. For every carb taken out, add 3 blocks of fat. Half of the carbs should be post work out. Since carbs are generally more expensive that fat, you could be cutting around 15 blocks from your budget.
3.) If you have a yard, why not grow some food? I have a orange tree right now but would love to have much more.
4.) If you have a extra freezer or interested in buying one, you could buy your meat in bulk from a farmer. 1/4 of a cow lasts a while!
Great tips, man. I’m currently on Robb’s SBWTBH diet and feeling great. I don’t think it will hurt to cut out 1 carb block per meal. Deep freezer and Sam’s Club membership in the next week. I’m on it!
